Dufftown
Named after its eponymous, famous Speyside capital, this is another emblematic, elegant, classical Speyside dram. Soft, fruity, cereal, green fruits and a whiff of spice and peat. The very old bottlings by the distillery at 80 proof from the 1960s and earlier are by far the best examples from Dufftown, although they are extremely old style in their character and don't bear much semblance to the modern style. The best modern bottlings are all by independents such as Douglas Laing, Cadenhead and Jack Wieber.
